Patent and trademark experience since 1977
Salomaki Oy is a Finnish Patent and Trademark Agency, which has reliably served domestic and foreign customers for decades. Company founder Juha Salomäki played an important role in starting the patent activity of KONE Corporation in the 70's and led the company's patent department until the 2000s before starting to work full time in his own company. Juha Salomäki has been a member of the European Patent Institute (epi) board and the council and is a member of other IPR organizations and associations, including AIPPI, FICPI, The Finnish Association for Industrial Property Rights, The Association of Finnish Patent Attorneys and The Association
of Finnish Patent Engineers.

Our areas of expertise cover several fields of technology. Since the summer of 2020, we have also strengthened our focus on innovations in chemical engineering, when M.Sc. (Tech.) in Chemical Engineering Elina Mörtengren joined our organization.

Our customer base consists of individual inventors up to large companies. Through our wide network of foreign colleagues, we take care of the international IPR protection of our domestic customers, and we also constantly acquire new international customers.

Our partners include also e.g. domestic internationalization consultants and private financiers, whom we can recommend to our clients whenever necessary to help them export their innovations and products to the market.

Our company has two authorized patent attorneys, Juha and Heikki Salomäki. Juha is also a European Patent Attorney. Heikki is responsible for our trademark and design matters, and he is an authorized trademark attorney as well as a European Trademark and Design Attorney.
